Kuala Lumpur : 3D2N – Day 3 : Stranded

On our last day, we woke up extra early to witness the sunrise from the pool area. It was beyond gorgeous. I’ve always been one who’s forever facinated by His creations. Sunrise and sunsets always make my day.

By 12am, we checked out of our room, left our luggage at the front desk and cabbed over to Jalan Telawi, Bangsar Baru. First stop : LA/PA. Love the interior decor.

After filling our empty tummies, we took a stroll over to Jovian. The shop is sungguh atas. There’s so many designs to choose from! Of course one of us ended up buying something!

Dropped by House of Doll owned by Fazura. Sadly she wasn’t in.

Our last stop at Jalan Telwai was Tous les Jours. I was spoilt for choice on which bread to buy! LOL! There’s only so much I can fit inside my tummy!

Last stop before we head off to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan was Melur & Thyme at NU Sentral. This is another must visit and try especially their Assorted Maki M&T Style. Meletup bro!

Because it was the holiday weekend, we were stranded at the bus terminal for about 6 hours!! Reached Larkin at around 4am and was forced to grab private car into SG at $50 per head! Nasib nak balik punya pasal!

Kuala Lumpur : 3D2N – Day 2 : Kidz & Creme

First pit stop for day 2 was PappaRich at NU Sentral. We had some light snacks to help us overcome our hunger for the long trip up to Setia Alam. DCIM109GOPROThere are many ways to get to Kids & Creme. If you have lots of cash to spare, you may want to just hop on a cab to the destination. Else, you can be like us and hop on KTM to Setia Alam and grab a cab from there to Kidz & Creme. The journey took us slightly more than an hour but we saved a lot!

Kidz and creme was absolutely delicious and beyond our expectation! The location was a hassle for us to get to but alhamdulillah, the food didn’t disappoint. We even got to snap pictures with Aaron Aziz and DIyana Halik! *huge grin* Grabbing a cab from there was difficult but fret not, you can request the staffs to help call a cab for you. (The area was so secluded that it was hard finding cabs with GrabTaxi app)

Next stop was Publika because my dear friend here says that this was where they filmed ‘Manisnya CInta di Cappadocia”. LOL! We didn’t do much there except drink at Garage51.

From there, we cabbed to myBurgerLab. This shop appeared in every google search we did. True enough, this place was crowded with people. We had our burgers to go as we were still full. Verdict of myBurgerLab, it is a must visit. Totally sedap max please.

Back in the hotel, we golek in our bed, danced to the tunes playing on Sinar FM and went to bed.

Kuala Lumpur : 3D2N – Day 1 : Birthday Trip!

Did you say long holiday weekend? Like any other Singaporeans, I’d rather be overseas than be stuck in zombie land. This time round, our country of choice is just 5 hours ride up across the causeway.

As usual, we would board midnight coach from Larkin as they cost half of what companies in Singapore is charging. At 4am, we found ourself stranded at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan. We had about 2 hours to kill before the first train starts its operations.
Normally our preferred accommodation would be located around Bukit Bintang district. But this time round, we decided to stay at aLoft which is located at KL Sentral. KL Sentral is probably the best place to stay at. It’s like staying at Jurong East Interchange where all the train lines will intersect at this location which makes it very easy for travelling.

We were lucky because aLoft had rooms available and granted our request for early check in but before we go in to our rooms, we first need to check out the swimming pool located on the roof. The view on the roof was spectacular! You can see the whole KL skyline from there! We even made it a mission for us to make an effort to wake up early and watch sunrise from here!

Our room was also amazing! Beyond perfect although it doesn’t have any bathtubs in the toilet. The room reminded me of the room I stayed in Hard Rock Hotel SG. The room was spacious!

Once we settled ourselves in our room, we contemplated whether we should take a nap before exploring KL or go for a dip in the swimming pool. Of course we chose the latter!

Because we didn’t have any proper food since last night, I started grumbling about being hungry. The best thing about my travel buddy here is that she never fails to find food! Just tell her what you feel like eating and she’ll do the rest.

Because of her awesome research skills, we ended up at Chequers which offers gourmet waffles. I would never in a million years expect to find this gem in KL. The food served were delicious and customer service was perfect!

After lunch, we took a very long stroll to Nealofar Hijab store. We were spoilt for choice! They have scarves in many different designs and almost every color you can think of!

After exercise in the pool, our hefty lunch and 45 min long stroll, we decided to cab back to our hotel and have a nap. XD When we reached into our room, I saw a slice of brownie on the table. It was my birthday surprise which my lovely friend had arranged with the hotel. *inserts eyes with hearts emoticon*

Dropped by NU Sentral for our dinner! Dubu Dubu Urban Korean Food restaurant was our choice. The food wasn’t bad with free flow sides.

We ended the night by catching a movie, got evacuated out of the theatre halfway through the movie and missed the best action part because some idiot decided to smoke inside the toilet. The end.

Kuala Lumpur : 3D2N – Day 3: So we bid goodbye to KL

Last day in Kuala Lumpur was me being dragged out of bed by Hazimah just because she wanted to be the first in line at Pepper Lunch. Unfortunately for us, we were too early (damn you internet for misleading information) and we resorted to sharing a plate of beef fries from Carl’s Jr.

Pepper Lunch was a new experience for me. To be honest, I was super excited to be eating straight out off the hotplate.

Kuala Lumpur : 3D2N – Day 1: The land of never ending food choices

KL was another result of our impromptu holiday decisions when we meet. We sourced out a million and one ways to transport us from Singapore to KL. Finding a transport was hard since we’re heading out during the long CNY holiday. We managed to get on a coach bus in the end and safely reached KL. (I had school and class test on that night and cabbed down to bugis right after class!)
