Hey Yo!

Hey ya’ll. I’m back. Sort of. I’ve sort of been on a long hiatus and all of my scheduled posts are all up and I have no more ammo left.

I have a few excuses as to why I haven’t been proper updating here.

  1. I’m getting hitched in exactly 58 days and there’s so much left to settle! Gasps! Trying to hold in the bridezilla in me, yo!
  2. I have used up my 3GB free plan which means I can no longer upload photos here. Thus, I’ve been contemplating if I should even bother upgrading my plan and pay $9 monthly. Is it even worth it? Anyone out there still visit my page and read? Do you still want me to update? What would you like to see?

On a side note, I’ve been feeling very anxious as I get closer to the wedding date. I have this crazy impulsive shopping ‘urges’ where I’d go out on a rampage and spend like lots of money on stuffs. I recently bought myself something that costs a bomb and a few days back, I made a trip to Sephora and spend $400 there! Gasps. I know! I haven’t even told my fiancé and hell will definitely break loose when he figures I bought the thing that costs me a bomb. I might have to keep it in the office! (T.T) How do I hide my future purchases from him? GAHHHHHHHHH~!

I hope he’ll not be reading this and if you do, please pretend you didn’t read it. I love you. (=*)

Makan Makan 020 : I am Legend

So my friend and I decided to drop by I am Legend [here] at Big Box to give the halal western food a try.

We were greeted by very friendly staffs at the counter. ❤IMG_2412

We decided to try their Creamy Salted Egg Yolk with Prawns and Chicken Chop with Fries. IMG_2418IMG_2420

The food weren’t bad. The portion was so so. We think that the creamy salted egg yolk pasta was a little too overpriced for the portion we got. I liked that the chicken chop sauce tasted homemade and wasn’t store bought. Overall, give this place a try so you can decide if this place is a yay or a nay. 🙂

While in JB -15 : Seven Oaks Bakery Cafe

Seven Oaks Bakery Cafe [here] is popular for their salted egg croissant but we were disappointed when we were told that it was out of stock. )=

They have other bakes available and we could see them quickly flying off the shelves! Everyone was almost rushing to the shelves to grab whatever they can. =l

If you love carbs, you can give this place a visit. If you’re lucky, you’d get to try their famous salted egg croissant.

Turning Twenty-Eight

This year’s birthday was kinda weird. So weird such that the lady who let me out of her vjayjay actually forgot my birthday. Sad. On a bright side, at least the fiancé didn’t and he brought me over to Fix @ HometeamNS [here].

Salted egg doughnut. Kinda weird but it was actually really delicious.

For $37, this seafood fiesta platter for two is kind of disappointing. The samba was nice but everything else was so-so.

While in JB 014 : Nasi Lemak Wak Kentut

As strange as the name sounds, the food was pretty good. The rice was delicious and fragrant. The samba was nice too and wasn’t very spicy.

We were lucky enough to be able to try their famous rice! When we reached, they announced that we are the last customer for the day as they pretty much ran out of rice. Phew~! Else that one hour ride up would be a waste.

All ready to dig in but group photo first!

If you’re interested, the stall is located at : Jalan Susur Kulai 2, Taman Kulai Besar, Kulai, Johor

While in JB 013 : Dendeng Station (CLOSED)

I now have a new appreciation for cheap food. I used to think cheap food = diarrhea. I was wrong. At least in this case.

Was walking around Larkin and noticed this stall!

Look at the price! Damn cheap right compared to dendeng in Singapore!

70gm for less than $2!!! In Singapore, you get 100gm for $4.50! *gasps*

They cook it on the spot and cut it into relatively small pieces which makes it super easy to stuff inside your mouth. So sedap I tell you!

Kuala Lumpur : 3D2N – Day 3 : Stranded

On our last day, we woke up extra early to witness the sunrise from the pool area. It was beyond gorgeous. I’ve always been one who’s forever facinated by His creations. Sunrise and sunsets always make my day.

By 12am, we checked out of our room, left our luggage at the front desk and cabbed over to Jalan Telawi, Bangsar Baru. First stop : LA/PA. Love the interior decor.

After filling our empty tummies, we took a stroll over to Jovian. The shop is sungguh atas. There’s so many designs to choose from! Of course one of us ended up buying something!

Dropped by House of Doll owned by Fazura. Sadly she wasn’t in.

Our last stop at Jalan Telwai was Tous les Jours. I was spoilt for choice on which bread to buy! LOL! There’s only so much I can fit inside my tummy!

Last stop before we head off to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan was Melur & Thyme at NU Sentral. This is another must visit and try especially their Assorted Maki M&T Style. Meletup bro!

Because it was the holiday weekend, we were stranded at the bus terminal for about 6 hours!! Reached Larkin at around 4am and was forced to grab private car into SG at $50 per head! Nasib nak balik punya pasal!
